Who can use MomentSwap
MomentSwap is intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts.
Information you give us
We may process your email address, age-gate record, username, display name, profile details, broad area, profile image, Terms acceptance, account settings, support messages, reports, blocks and reactions.
Moments and other content
We process the photos and short videos you choose to send, publish or save to your profile, together with related delivery, moderation and reporting information. Private Moments are not made public simply because they were delivered to another user.
Location
When you choose to use location, MomentSwap is designed to convert device location into a broad area such as a town, city, suburb or nearby landmark. Exact GPS coordinates are not intended to be stored for social map pins. You can instead use a typed profile area.
Device and notification information
We may process device identifiers used for push notifications, app version and basic technical information needed to deliver notifications, prevent abuse, diagnose failures and keep the service reliable.
Why we use information
We use personal data to create and secure accounts, match and deliver Moments, show content you choose to publish, operate profiles, Explore and Passport features, send requested notifications, provide support, moderate content, investigate reports, prevent abuse, enforce our rules, comply with law and improve reliability.
Legal bases
Where UK or European data-protection law applies, we rely on our contract with you for core service functions, legitimate interests for safety, security, abuse prevention and support, consent where an optional device permission requires it, and legal obligations where applicable.
Moderation
Content may be checked automatically and, where reasonably necessary, reviewed by authorised people for safety, abuse prevention, appeals or legal compliance. Moderation may result in delayed delivery, removal, warnings, feature restrictions or account suspension.
Who may receive information
Information may be visible to the recipient of a Moment, to people who view content you deliberately publish, to service providers that help operate MomentSwap, to authorised safety reviewers, and to authorities where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to address a serious safety risk.
International processing
Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, recognised safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism will be used.
Retention
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here. When you request account deletion, the account is queued for deletion and normal use is stopped. Limited records may be kept for longer where reasonably necessary for security, disputes, backups, abuse investigations or legal obligations.
Security
We use access controls, private storage where appropriate, encryption in transit and administrative controls designed to protect personal information. No online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You can choose whether a Moment is added to your profile or Explore, remove published Moments, manage blocked accounts, change notification and location choices, request account deletion and contact us about applicable access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability rights.
Account deletion
You can request deletion from MomentSwap Settings under Account. If you cannot access the app, use the account-deletion page and Support form.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as MomentSwap changes. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date and, where appropriate, an in-app notice or renewed acceptance.
